My name is Lois El-Idrissi. I earned my CNA license, with specialized training in Alzheimer’s, in 2010 and served in the Charleston area. I moved to Rock Hill in 2012 to take care of my mother who suffered from dementia. After her death in 2016, I stayed in the area and continued my calling with other families. My specialty is taking care of clients that have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or another type of dementia, Parkinson’s, and general decline. The experience of being the sole caregiver for my mother, my experiences with my clients and my specialized training make me familiar with the signs and progression of these diseases. I can observe and communicate with the family and health professionals.
"Lois El-Idrissi was an absolute blessing to our family. She is extremely knowledgeable about special needs with seniors, particularly with dementia. Her patience and calm spirit with my dad (dementia) and grandmother (96-years-old) were so effective, and she could often get them to do things that they wouldn’t do for family. She brought fresh ideas and suggestions to the table when we were frustrated and discouraged and was always willing to try something new. We also appreciated the flexibility she demonstrated with us as our family was going through a rough time with more than one family member hospitalized, etc. She is definitely passionate about her work and is gifted at doing it. Above all, Lois is completely loyal and trustworthy. She quickly became like part of our family and we will always be grateful for her! "

“Our family highly recommends Lois. She worked with our father who has Alzheimer's daily for two years. She is very reliable, communicative and very easy to work with. Lois approaches her work as a self-described "mother hen" which we learned means she is a great companion full of sincere concern who just jumps in and takes care of daily needs and planning activities. We overall appreciated that she is experienced, patient, kind, caring and compassionate. When we decided it was time to move our father to a local memory care, Lois was very supportive of the decision and very helpful with making that transition as easy as possible. She is wonderful and any family will be fortunate to have her as a caregiver.”

“Lois was my husband's caregiver for a little over two years; he had Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. As his diseases progressed, she adapted well to her increasing responsibilities. I appreciated her ability to assess the situation each day and provide conversation and engagement or give him space, as needed. We relied on her previous experiences as both a personal and private caregiver to help us with practical tips to use ourselves. Her expertise and devotion enabled my husband to remain at home, and he himself often expressed his appreciation for her dedication. My family will be forever grateful for Lois' support during our family's journey with these diseases.”
